Does the DEA restrict activities at sea?
The Environmental Emergency Declaration (DEA, in Spanish), issued by the Ministry of the Environment, does not prohibit fishing or other economic activities, as ratified by the Ministry of the Environment, the Institute of the Sea of Peru (IMARPE) and the National Authority for Health and Safety in Fisheries and Aquaculture (SANIPES).
Fishermen can access normally, as indicated by the competent authorities. The DEA does not restrict and prohibit the development of these activities.
