Have agreements been signed with the fishermen’s guilds within the framework of compensation management?

Petroperú has signed agreements with the fishermen’s guilds of Lobitos, Talara, La Brea – Negritos and Cabo Blanco as part of its community relations activities and not within the framework of a compensatory process.

The activities that have been carried out in compliance with these voluntary commitments are the following:

  1. Delivery of food baskets to the communities of the districts of Lobitos, Talara, La Brea Negritos and Cabo Blanco.
  2. Distribution of water to Lobitos, through two cisterns per week. This support will be maintained for three months.
  3. Hiring 300 people as a local workforce for the execution of the project to rehabilitate public spaces in both Lobitos and Cabo Blanco.

Likewise, during the emergency due to anomalous waves recorded between December 2024 and January 2025, it provided the following support:

  1. Deliveries of food for fishermen in Lobitos, Pariñas, La Brea – Negritos and Cabo Blanco.
  2. Delivery of 30 cylinders to the Municipality of Lobitos so that they can refloat and rescue some boats sunk by the anomalous waves.
  3. Rescue of a fisherman in the Lobitos area with the support of RAM Chavín.
