What were the affected areas?

The hydrocarbon leak impacted the Las Capullanas, Malacas, Bola, Yapato, Peña Negra and Restín beaches. These areas have been intervened with cleaning and environmental monitoring, carried out by specialized personnel under the supervision of the competent authorities.

More than 350 people participated in the cleaning work, distributed in different action fronts. In addition, more than 10 boats and specialized machinery were used to remove the contaminated material.

As a result of these works, a total of 9.05 barrels of light waste were recovered, both at sea and on land.

Petroperú, in collaboration with specialized companies, reaffirms its commitment to the total recovery of the natural environment and continues to work to ensure the environmental sustainability of the affected area.
